The CBC holiday programming schedule (PDF file) has been released and yet, I fail to see the Snowman, or Robbie the Reindeer, or even Sean Cullen’s Christmas in Peterborough anywhere on it. The overrated Grinch is there twice (though not the horrible Jim Carrey version, mercifully), and for some reason, Habs games are considered Christmas specials.
If it weren’t for the fact that I’m going to be in Scotland (fingers crossed) during the week leading up to Christmas, I would have been forced to compose a strongly worded letter of disapproval to our public broadcaster. I’m just not sure that Merry Christmas Mr. Bean, Elf, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation will be enough to get me through my annual bachanalia of rum, Ganong chocolates, and Christmas specials. And when will Bad Santa become a TV staple?
On the other hand, BBC’s Christmas schedule looks awesome.
