We may not be “World Class” but damn, we’re SEXY!


A new tourism campaign is aiming to capitalise on Montreal’s “sexy” side. This would be an improvement over failed campaigns in years past which emphasised Montreal’s Amish side (“Come Ye, to Montreal and Make Thee at Home!”).

  1. Actually, wasn’t Montreal known for its strip clubs for many years? I think the fuss had to do with dancers not having to wear g-strings and/or lap dances being legal. Personally, I love how they always advertise a “hot and cold buffet”. Mmmm strippers and potato salad.

  2. Didn’t know we needed help in making sure people knew we were sexy. I still have that late 80’s pro-Montreal song in my head:

    Mon-treeeee-al
    Magical Mon-treee-al
    The place I love
    The place I want-to-beee!!

    They had a perfectly matching franco version as well. It wasn’t a particular sexy song, but the logo for the ad had that red lipstick kiss in the city name.–>
