The Sopranos, Episode 6.03: “Mayham” (minor spoilers)

No, that’s not a typo in the title.

Sometimes I feel like Silvio Dante in last night’s episode, what with the panic attacks and the inability to deal with the position of responsibility he’s suddenly given.

Totally unrelated but Paulie totally deserved that kick in the junk:

“I gotta wear a jock, the doc said. Keep the testes elevated.”

  1. I loved how when in the dream state Tony is banging on the wall for the person next door to shut up, when it’s really Paulie yammering on and on in the real world. And the fact that it was Paulie that got Tony so pissed that he had to come out of the coma. The guys even drives people batshit when they are in comas. LOL

  2. I like when Paulie says, ‘More wrinkles than an old lady’s….’

Is it just me or has Silvio put on weight? And the therapist…and Tony?

I’m loving how we see that Paulie is loyal to Tony’s position, not Tony himself.

  3. I think this is the beginning of the end for Tony, one way or the other. The guys are loyal to whomever is going to provide them their next paycheque. They live such lavish lifestyles that they are literally going paycheque to paycheque (or, really, wad of cash in a brown envelope to wad of cash in a brown envelope). They handle paydays in hundreds of thousands of dollars and yet Paulie still clips coupons. I think a power struggle is developing this season and with his children knowing fully what he does, he may start selling out some of the guys to the FBI to protect his kids. Or he gets shot again. Who knows.

Tony always looked big but now he has a big hole in his gut so he may start losing weight.

And Vito is so going down. Just not on Finn.

  4. I’m glad to see that Sil is getting the air time he deserves. He’s my fave Sopranos character. Really, Sil’s wig is the star of that show. More Sil!

  5. Silvio is one of my faves as well. In as much as someone can feel “sympathetic” to this crew, he’s the one who sees the big picture and doesn’t let his feelings get in the way of what has to be done, even if it means he had to be the one to take out Adriana (who was the other character I liked a lot).
