I liked the article. It reminded me of days spent down at Parkway Mall’s Fantasy 2000 arcade (later renamed Electric Avenue) where I spent many a quarter playing Defender and Joust, although not for 62 consecutive hours.
And did the wardrobe people responsible for the defunct TV show Freaks and Geeks reference this article for early 1980’s authenticity?
