Save the liver!

The famous American cook Julia Child, has passed away at age 91. I see this as good news as Child specialised in cooking fat-laden French cuisine like coq-au-vin and yet, she lived to the ripe old age of 91.

It’s also apparent that one can draw a line from her long running PBS TV show The French Chef, and it’s approach to making relatively sophisticated cooking available to the masses, straight through to The Naked Chef, Nigella, and of course, here in Canada, Wok with Yan. And really, if it weren’t for her and those like her, we’d have no Food Network.
