Did you know that ground ginger and ground cinnamon look remarkably alike? Curiously, ginger toast does not make a part of a complete breakfast. I was too busy trying to get the score from last night’s game from the radio to notice my toast didn’t taste quite right. It was quickly replaced by a blueberry bagel from Tim Horton’s on the way to work.
This isn’t the first time I’ve done this either. A curry recipe that called for a generous amount of ginger, got cinnamon instead. I need bigger, more clearly indicated labels for the spice jars.
